Title: Clever Katya
Retold by: Julia Donaldson
Illustrated by: Jane Kochnewitz
This story is about girl name Katya. One day, the Czar of Russia was hungry. He asked a farmer for some bread. The farmer bowed low and gave him some. It was the best the Czar had ever tasted. The farmer's daughter, Katya had made the bread. The farmer told the Czar that Katya is wonderful, pretty, good, strong, a good worker and a good singer.
The farmer also mentioned that Katya is clever too. The Czar thought that Katya was smarter than him so he presented Katya with three questions which was impossible to answer. Katya was smart and backfired the questions back to the Czar. The Czar was happy and proposed to Katya. Katya excepted the proposal but asked the Czar to promise one which was to let her take one thing with her back home from the castle if the Czar was fed up with her. So Katya married the Czar but after 1 year, the Czar was in bad mood and he quarelled with Katya. He asked her to go home. Katya took the thing she wanted most from the castle and left the castle. When Katya got home, she asked her father to open the lid of the big chest. The Czar was in the chest fast asleep. The Czar woke up and thought she had kidnaped him. Katya reminded him of his promise that if he was fed up with her and send her home, she would keep the thing she loved in the castle which was him. The Czar laughed and told the farmer that he was right and his daughter is the cleverest person in Russia and he will never send Katya away again.

Appreciation and Reflection
In the process of making this folio I have learnt to be a more caring and loving person. I have also learnt to be compassionate and kind by offering people help when they are in need of help. I increased my knowledge on computer skills and English. To me English is a very interesting subject. I want to thank my parents and my English teacher, Puan Ng for helping me to complete this folio. I also want to thank my friends for their help. They really made a huge impact on this folio.
Why Should We Care For Our Parents?
We should always care for our parents for many reasons. Our parents are the most loving and compassionate people in the world. Our mothers took care of us with love and care when we were young and during times of sickness. Our fathers work hard to earn money, in order for our family to live a good live.
Furthermore, they carry a tremendous responsibility of raising a family. Therefore, we must appreciate their love and care. Hence, we must repay their kindness by doing well in our studies and respect them. We mustn't argue with our parents because they sometimes feel stressed out. We must also listen to their advice. Our parents always give us the best so we must love them dearly.
I love my parents very much and they are the king and queen of my heart. I would like to dedicate poem to my loving parents.

Mom and Dad
I can't repay the lessons
That you taught when I was small.
Or give you gift for gift
The daily treasures I recall...
I can't return encouragement
And loving words of praise.
In quite the way you did for me
Through all my childhood days.
But there is one gift that I can give
It's all the love you've earned.
For love is what you always taught...
And love is what I learned.

My holiday's
During my school holiday's I didn't visit any places because I had to study for my examinations. I finished my school homework within three days. I also got involved with sports activities such as badminton and handball. During my free time, I read a book entitled The Dragonfire Hammer. It was a very interesting book to read. I also played some computer games and updated my blog. Furthermore, I did my Kajian Tempatan folio during the holiday's because I wanted to accomplish it before May. Finally, I helped my brother accomplish his folio because he didn't know how to do it.
A letter to a character
Dear tree,
How are you getting on? I read about you in my English class. I really admire you because you are very loving. You are also very caring and generous. I hope to grow up to be like you. You sacrificed a lot for the boy. I also learned not to be selfish and now I am willing to lend things to other people.
Furthermore, the boy always used your body parts for his own use. He was a selfish boy because he took it for granted and he almost choped all of your body parts for his own use. The boy should be more grateful. I like you because you remind me of my father. He is also a caring man.
It is getting late so I have to go. Can you please reply as soon as possible.
Your best friend,
Pavidren
